UGC NET 2026 Answer Key Update: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key shortly on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Along with the answer key, candidates will also be able to access their recorded responses and question papers to evaluate their performance before the final result is announced.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, and July 5, 2026, covering 85 subjects in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The examination determines eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC NET 2026 Answer Key and Response Sheet

Candidates will be able to download the provisional answer key, question paper, and recorded response sheet from the official NTA portal. These documents will help applicants compare their responses with the official answers and estimate their probable scores before the declaration of results.

Objection Window and Challenge Fee:

After releasing the provisional answer key, NTA will open an objection window for candidates who find discrepancies. Applicants can challenge any answer by submitting valid supporting documents and paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question challenged. The challenge facility is expected to remain available for two to three days.

How to Calculate UGC NET 2026 Marks?

Candidates can estimate their scores by comparing their responses with the provisional answer key. As per the UGC NET marking scheme, two marks are awarded for every correct answer, while no marks are deducted for incorrect or unanswered questions, as there is no negative marking in the examination.
