Born on March 1, 2001, in Nattika village in Kerala's Thrissur district, Ancy grew up in a modest family with deep roots in hard work and perseverance. Her father had once dreamt of becoming an athlete, but had to leave the sport behind to support the family as an auto-rickshaw driver.

Determined that his daughter would get opportunities he never had, he encouraged Ancy to pursue athletics from a young age. Her mother also played a crucial role in supporting her sporting ambitions despite financial challenges.

Ancy Sojan Career Rise: Building a Reputation on the International Stage

Ancy steadily established herself as one of India's most promising field athletes through consistent performances at national and international competitions. Her breakthrough came when she won a silver medal in the women's long jump event at the 2022 Asian Games.

Alongside her athletics career, she also serves as a Petty Officer in the Indian Navy and receives support through professional sports development programmes. Her discipline and work ethic helped transform potential into results on the biggest stages.
