Renowned Tamil actor Ajith Kumar’s wife Shalini has been hospitalised for undisclosed reasons. The former actress shared a picture with her husband from a hospital bed. Shalini didn’t reveal the reason behind her hospitalisation or has not spoken about her health yet. The duo smiled for the camera and was seen holding each other's hands.
She shared the post on Instagram and wrote, “Love you forever” with several heart emojis. Fans were concerned about her health and asked her to update them about the situation. A fan wrote, “Any problem shalini.” A well-wisher commented, “Get well soon shalini ma'am.” Another said, “Evergreen Couples Of Kollywood.” “Get well soon mrs.ajithkumar,” commented a user. A comment read, “Get Well Soon Mam Our AK Will Always Be With You love you #AjithKumar for being there for her.” A fan said, “Get well soon Anni god is always with you & your family.” “he came all the way from overseas shot to see you,” another said.
As per a report by India Today, Shalini went through a minor surgery in Chennai. A source told the same media portal, “It's too personal, so let's not get into the details. But she underwent surgery and is doing fine now. There's a possibility that an official statement might be shared in a day or two.” Ajith took a break from Vidaamuyarchi’s shooting in Azerbaijan to take care of her.

Shalini Ajith Kumar is known for her work in Alaipayuthey, Amarkalam, Niram, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Aniyathipraavu, Piriyadha Varam Vendum, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Kannukkul Nilavu, Mangalam Nerunnu and Prem Poojari to name a few.
On the other hand, Ajith Kumar is currently working on Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi. The action thriller also stars Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Arav Nafeez, Arjun Sarja, Arun Vijay, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Sanjay Dutt to name a few. The movie is all set to release in theatres on 31st October this year.
