Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli first met on the sets of an ad shoot. The duo did not start off on a good note and in an interview, Virat revealed that he almost offended Anushka. "I remember it was 2013. I had just been named the captain for the Zimbabwe Tour, I was excited. Then my manager called up about a TV commercial. He told me that I was shooting with Anushka Sharma,” Virat Kohli told AB De Villiers in a conversation.
“I was shivering. I was so nervous. I was so, so tense before walking on the set. I was thinking 'how am I going to say hi to her? What am I going to say?'. I was so completely out of it. I went there 5 minutes before her. I did not realise how tall she was. Out of my nervousness...First thing I told her, she was wearing decent-high heels. The first thing I told her when I saw her heel was 'Didn't you get anything higher to wear?',” the Indian cricketer recalled on the chat show.
Dated For 4 Years
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli dated for more than 4 years. The duo were often spotted overseas enjoying vacations. Anushka Sharma made it to the stands when Virat Kohli was playing. The cricketer left no stones unturned to confirm his romance and blew flying kisses from on field to Anushka in the stands.
Virat Kohli often visited Anushka Sharma on her movie sets. The actor also recalled an incident when he went for one of her movie shoots and slept as soon as he landed after having jet lag.
It was also reported that the duo briefly broke up, but got back together and the reports were never confirmed or denied.
