Ayushmann Khurrana’s love story is no less than a fairy tale for his fans but as per recent revelations, the actor’s love life has also seen a downfall once. Ayushmann, who married longtime girlfriend Tahira Kashyap in 2008, recently opened up about the turmoil he faced during dating days. The star revealed that after winning the famous reality show Roadies, he broke up with his then-girlfriend (Tahira). He won the second season of the Roadies in 2005.
Ayushmann in an interview with Mashable India, said “It is very difficult to deal with fame when you are 16-17. I remember I broke up with my girlfriend then. I was getting a lot of attention for the first time apart from my girlfriend. I lost my mind. I went through that journey when you are in your teens, and you have a gawky image, you are blooming and flowering and becoming a man."
"I was the most popular guy in Chandigarh at that time. So, I broke up with Tahira saying, 'See I am getting a lot of attention, I have to live life now.' But I got back to her in six months and told her 'I can't do this, I can't be a 'f*****'," he added.
Ayushmann and Tahira are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. The duo has been married for the past 16 years. They are always seen posting pictures and getting spotted together at several events. Last year, Tahira posted a beautiful picture on their anniversary, which she captioned, “Happy world/ritual waali anniversary 😬❤️ I still go back to the first song you sang for me… umm . . Uhhh just realised it’s Halloween too, we chose the scariest day to get married😳 guess it’s all relative na… what is more scary 😂😂”
After winning the adventurous reality show Roadies, he hosted and judged the show. Later, he debuted in Bollywood opposite Yami Gautam with Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor.
