South superstar Nani created havoc at the box-office on Day 1 of its release with his film Dasara. DIrected by Srikanth Odhela, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh and clashed at the box-office against Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa.
Dasara Box Office Collection Day 1
According to initial trade reports, Dasara is off to a huge start at the box-office. The film reportedly collected over Rs 17 crore (gross) on Day 1 of its release while Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa managed to collect Rs 10 crore.
With this, Dasara has become Nani’s career’s highest opener ever. The film’s shows started as early as 5 AM. Dasara has reportedly minted over Rs 33 crore worldwide.

Dasara has been set on a huge budget of Rs 65 crore. Talking about the clash between Bholaa and Dasara, Nani said in an interview, "We all love Ajay Devgn and I don't think there is a clash between the two. I would request everyone to go and watch 'Bholaa' in the morning and 'Dasara' in the evening.”
The actor further spoke about Dasara and said “There are emotions that we can easily relate to in the film. It is based on a real story experienced by our director. His father was a worker in the Singareni coal mines so it is based on a real story.”
“It has content as well as all the elements of entertainment. It will connect with the masses. There is no one larger than life and every character you will see in the film is relatable. You will cry and laugh with them,” Nani said in his interview.
Dasara On OTT
Reportedly, the digital streaming rights of Dasara have been bagged by OTT giant Netflix. THe film will stream 6 weeks after its theaterical release.
