New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Actor Farhan Akhtar on Thursday shared his first look from the upcoming sports-drama 'Toofan' announcing the release date of the Indian sports drama-- October 2, 2020. 'The Sky is Pink' actor took to Instagram to share the still in which he is donning a blue coloured boxing costume. "When life gets harder, you just get stronger. Iss saal #Toofan uthega. Releasing 02/10/2020. Happy to share this exclusive image with you as we dive into the new year. Hope you like it," read the caption of 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' actor.
Replying to the post, Varun Dhawan dropped panda emoji while Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor called it incredible. Among others, Abhishek Bachchan replied, "Outstanding while his girlfriend Shibani Dandekar dropped love and fire emoticons.

Produced and directed by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film narrates the story of a boxer. The director-actor duo had earlier collaborated for the biopic based on Indian athlete Milkha Singh, 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,' which turned to a box office hit. The sports film also features Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur and Isha Talwar.
The actor was last seen in Sonali Bose directorial The Sky is Pink that also featured Priyanka Chopra, Rohit Saraf and Zaira Wasim. The film failed to live up to expectation and failed to perform at the box office.
His earlier film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, in which Farhan had donned the character of Milkha Singh-- an athlete was applauded his fans. The actor must be hopeful that 'Toofan' breaks the records set by the above movie.
