Meera Vasudevan exchanged vows with cinematographer Vipin Puthiyankam in an intimate wedding ceremony in Coimbatore in April. The actress known for winning the Kerala State TV Award for Best Actress in 2007 and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award, celebrated her wedding at her family home in Coimbatore. The couple met while working on the same project since May 2019 and gradually developed feelings for each other. Meera confirmed that they officially registered their marriage on May 24, 2024.
Meera Vasudevan shared a lovely video of her intimate home wedding on her social media platforms. Confirming her marriage, She wrote "We’re officially married. I, Meera Vasudevan @officialmeeravasudevan, and Vipin Puthiyankam @vipin.puthiyankam married each other on 21/04/2024 at Coimbatore and we are officially registered as a married couple today."
She added, "Let me introduce you to Vipin properly. He is a Palakkad native from Alathur. He is a DOP/ cinematographer (an international award winner at that). Vipin and I have been working together on the same project since May 2019. We have been seeing each other all of last year and finally tied the knot on 21/04/2024. We had only our immediate family and 2-3 close friends in attendance. Here I am, sharing this blessed official news with you all, my well-wishers, relations, friends and the media who have been my greatest supporters in my professional journey. I hope for you to share the same love and support with my husband Vipin too."
Meera Vasudevan has made notable appearances in films and TV soaps across Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu languages. Renowned for her roles in films such as ‘Unnai Saranadainthen’, ‘Thanmathra’, and ‘Jerry’, is portraying the main lead role of Sumithra in the popular Malayalam soap opera 'Kudumbavilakku', which airs on Asianet.
