Nayanthara Netflix Documentary: Sivaji Productions, the company behind the 2005 film Chandramukhi, also demanded Rs 5 crore from Nayanthara for the use of footage in her documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. The reports came after Dhanush filed a notice demanding Rs 10 crore from her, her husband Vignesh Shivan, and streaming service Netflix India for using unapproved footage from his 2015 production Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.

The production company has now revealed that Nayanthara did receive an NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the same.  Manobala Vijayabalan, a Tamil film industry tracker, shared the Sivaji Productions NOC with Nayanthara on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

"Chandramukhi team claiming Rs 5 cr compensation from Nayanthara Netflix documentary is UNTRUE," read the caption.

Nayanthara had already thanked those who had backed her and given the go-ahead for NOCs to use movie snippets in her declaration against Dhanush. Her Chandramukhi producer Ramkumar Ganesan, who produced the movie under his Sivaji Productions label, was listed with celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Chiranjeevi. The actress has not yet responded to the court notification.

For the unversed, Nayanthara made her first Tamil movie, Ayya, in 2005 followed by Chandramukhi. Actors Jyotika and Rajinikanth also appeared in the 2006 horror comedy. Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale, a documentary that examined her career and romantic life, featured snippets from a number of her movies, including Jawan.
