Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: The military epic Border 2 has concluded its first week in cinemas with a noticeable dip in daily earnings. After a phenomenal start that saw the film shatter several records over the Republic Day holiday, the Sunny Deol-led sequel is finally showing signs of a mid-week slump. Despite the current slowdown, Border 2 has already comfortably outperformed other recent patriotic releases like Fighter and Sky Force.
According to early data from trade analyst Sacnilk, the film collected approximately Rs 11.25 crore on its seventh day (Thursday, 29 January 2026). This brings its total domestic net collection to an impressive Rs 243.08 crore after one week of release. On its seventh day, theatre occupancy for the Hindi version dropped to 14.52%. Night shows remained the most popular, peaking at 20.11%, while morning shows struggled to draw crowds, dipping to 6.67%.

Amidst the film’s commercial success, Sunny Deol took to social media to share his gratitude. In a video message filmed against the backdrop of a hilly landscape, the actor asked, "How far did the sound of our success travel?" He went on to thank the audience for the overwhelming affection shown to the sequel, stating, "Thank you all so much for giving so much love to my, your, our #Border2!" This marks the second time in recent years that Deol has revitalised the box office, with Border 2 becoming his second film to cross the Rs 200 crore milestone in less than a week, following the success of Gadar 2.
Is Border 3 In Works?
The film, directed by Anurag Singh and produced by JP Films in partnership with T-Series, revisits the 1971 India-Pakistan conflict. Its success has already paved the way for further expansions of the franchise. Producer Bhushan Kumar recently confirmed that plans for a third instalment are already underway. "Obviously, it is such a big franchise. If you bring something back after almost 30 years and it is getting so much love, we will definitely take it forward," Kumar told the Hindustan Times. He confirmed that Border 3 is being planned as a joint venture and will enter production "in due course."
