Border 2: Varun Dhawan is working hard to promote his upcoming war movie, Border 2. The actor portrays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a valiant Indian Army commander who served in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War and received the Param Vir Chakra (PVC). With a plot based on actual events and sacrifice, the part represents a significant shift for the actor. A video showing Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya's wife blessing Varun at a pre-release event and praising him went viral on social media ahead of the movie's premiere.

At the Border 2 pre-release event, Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya's wife caressed Varun Dhawan's head in a video that appeared on an Instagram paparazzi account. She said, "Tumne bahot badhiya kiya hai. Bahot badhiya, shabbash! Film bahot achi chalegi." Varun knelt to express his gratitude for her kind act.

Varun Dhawan Trolled For His Performance

Ghar Kab Aaoge, a song from Border 2, was recently released, and Varun Dhawan's performance in it led to online criticism. Following the release of the song Ghar Kab Aaoge, Varun Dhawan's performance was criticised by several social media users. His performance was deemed noisy and unnecessary by several users. "Bhai aapki acting pe sawal utha rahe hai log, uske liye kya bologe," a user questioned. Varun, who is renowned for speaking without holding back, responds to the remarks and trolls - "Yehi sawaal ne gaana hit karadi, sab enjoy kar rahe hain, rab di mehar."

In fact, a Reddit user recently posted screenshots of an alleged chat that suggested influencers were being asked to criticise Varun Dhawan's expressions in the song Ghar Kab Aaoge.

Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, stars Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. It is a sequel to JP Dutta's highly successful 1997 movie Border. Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J P Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta are the producers of the war movie.

The entire film crew launched the song Ghar Kab Aaoge in Jaisalmer a few days ago. Mithoon has reworked the song, adding words from Manoj Muntashir. In addition to Sonu, Arijit Singh, Roop Kumar Rathod, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh sing the song.

Border 2, which is based on the actual events surrounding the 1971 India-Pakistan war, is slated to hit theaters on January 23.
