BTS Seoul Comeback: The global Kpop sensation BTS is preparing for a historic return to the stage. South Korean authorities have announced that a massive free concert, scheduled for next week in central Seoul, is expected to attract up to 260,000 people. The event marks the group’s official comeback following the release of their new album, Arirang. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety is taking no chances with such a large crowd. This gathering is predicted to be one of the biggest in Seoul since the 2002 FIFA World Cup. To ensure everyone stays safe, the government is deploying a huge security force.

Interior Minister Yun Ho-jung confirmed that while 22,000 lucky fans have secured free tickets, the surrounding area will remain open to the public. To manage approximately 4,800 police officers and 3,400 city officials will be on duty. Minister Yun highlighted the importance of the mission, stating, “This event will showcase not just K-culture, but K-safety.” Authorities are adopting a safety-first approach, which includes structural inspections and real-time command centres. Following the tragic Itaewon crowd crush in 2022, South Korea is on high alert for mass-gathering risks.

BTS Returns With New Album 'Arirang'

The concert celebrates the release of Arirang, the band’s first full album as a group in four years. The album is set to drop on March 20, just one day before the live show. Last week, the group excited fans by revealing a 14-song tracklist, featuring the lead single 'SWIM' and other titles like Aliens, Hooligan, and One More Night.

Where To Watch BTS Comeback Live?

For those who cannot make it to Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Square, the event will be broadcast globally. Titled BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang, the show will be livestreamed on Netflix. In the UK, fans can tune in on the morning of March 21, while fans in India can watch the live stream at 4:30 pm on the same day.
