The wait is finally over for fans of action-packed cinema as Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 is all set for its big release on 19th March 2026. Featuring a powerful star cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan, the film will begin paid previews today before releasing across theatres tomorrow. However, ahead of its debut, the movie has undergone several changes after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) reviewed it.
Paid Previews Of Dhurandhar 2 Begin Ahead of Release
The makers have opened the paid preview shows for the audience a day before the actual release of the movie. This has created excitement among the fans who have been eagerly waiting to see the sequel to the movie. The previews were made available earlier this month, while the tickets were made available a few days later for the opening day shows.
CBFC Report Highlights Important Changes In Dhurandhar 2
According to the censor board’s report, the film required multiple edits before approval. Out of several suggested modifications, 4 major ones out of 21 were related to intense violent visuals. These included trimming scenes that included ‘smashing the eye,’ ‘beheading and kicking,’ ‘hitting the head with a cement block,’ and ‘hitting the head with a hammer.’
Apart from visual edits, the board also directed some textual changes. References to demonetisation dates in subtitles were corrected. Additionally, the name of the city Lahore was replaced by Delhi in the information text.

Despite the reduction, the film still has a lengthy duration of over three hours.
*The Original Version Runtime: 3 Hours 51 Minutes
*Indian Version after Cuts: 3 hours, 49 minutes, 36 seconds
*International Version after Cuts: 3 hours, 55 minutes
Dhurandhar 2 Certification and Permissions
The movie has received an ‘A’ certificate, and it is not suitable for viewing by anyone other than an adult. The producers have also submitted their permissions for using references related to the Prime Minister and certain news clips used in the movie.
Reactions on social media have been two-fold. While one section of the audience questioned the need for editing in an adult-rated movie, another section criticised the role played by the censor board.
