Dhurandhar 2: A growing number of filmmakers are returning to the authenticity of practical effects to enhance on-screen realism in an era where computer-generated visuals are becoming more and more common. Vishal Tyagi, the man leading the special effects, carried out authentic, controlled effects, ranging from guns to massive explosions in Ranveer Singh starrer spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Who Is Vishal Tyagi?

Vishal Tyagi is one of Bollywood’s leading special effects experts, known for executing meticulously planned, large-scale, practical effects that bring cinematic moments to life. He said, "Tyagi Guns and SFX was founded in 1983 with a vision to bring authenticity to action on screen. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working on several international projects, including the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, Zero Dark Thirty, Extraction and now Dhurandhar."

"Our core expertise lies in executing real, controlled effects, from firearms to large-scale explosions. We believe in creating action that is tangible and immersive, which is why nothing we do is computer-generated. For us, realism isn’t an option; it’s the standard," he added.

With an impressive body of work that featured popular franchises like Pathaan and Jawan, among many others. Vishal Tyagi has continuously pushed the limits of action design on the ground. His skill is in combining safety, accuracy, and spectacle to create scenes that are far more realistic and absorbing than those made with just digital effects.

Recently, Vishal Tyagi also won a prestigious award at a recent award ceremony for the special effects in Dhurandhar.

Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, Gaurav Gera, Rakesh Bedi, and Arjun Rampal are among the cast members of Aditya Dhar's film Dhurandhar. The second portion of the movie, officially named Dhurandhar: The Revenge, was released in theatres on March 19, 2026, after its December 5, 2025, release. The film is available to watch in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
