Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh's most recent movie, has been doing well at the box office. The spy thriller has made a total of Rs 589 crore after 18 days at the box office. In addition to shattering records, this remarkable achievement cemented Singh's status as one of Bollywood's top actors. Dhurandhar actor Naveen Kaushik revealed some insightful details about his experience working with the actor amid the spy thriller's box office success in an exclusive interview with The Daily Jagran. He also pointed out some striking parallels between Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor, with whom he collaborated in Rocket Singh and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Dhurandhar actor Naveen discussed why he believes Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor are two of the Bollywood film industry's top risk-takers. He clarified that both actors have experienced times when people were ready to declare their careers to be ended. They eventually turned the tide in their favour because they persisted in following their gut feelings and making audacious decisions in spite of the chaos and uncertainties.
The Dhurandhar actor also emphasised the experiences of working with Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. He pointed out how they were able to recover at pivotal points in their careers, demonstrating their capacity for reinvention. According to Naveen, what really distinguishes enduring stars in the Hindi film industry is their self-belief and willingness to take chances, even in the face of failure.

Naveen Kaushik went on to praise Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor for picking unconventional roles. "I think, as an actor, as someone who's trained in theatre and someone who's tried to, you know, educate himself about world cinema, you see good actors always taking that chance with unconventional roles. And I think that is one of the reasons where, because of which Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, both have become, you know, the stars that they have become. Because they have not stuck to that one image. They will play such roles, such characters. They've always tried to find the unconventional. They've always tried to find the role that redefines them and is a challenge for them as an actor (sic)."
Recalling the time on the sets of the 2009 movie, Rocket Singh, Naveen shared, "So, when we were doing that film, Rocket Singh, till then, I think, two more films by Ranbir Kapoor were released. Wake Up Sid and I think, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani. So, these films had released at that time and then people were like, oh, you know, Lost Little Puppy, Chocolate Boy, Love Story, you know, fun. And then for him to do this, for me, it was like, okay, you know, the guy is making these unconventional choices. So, I think he really wants to explore himself as an actor, not just find a comfortable zone (sic)."
Naveen Kaushik, who played the role of Donga in Dhurandhar, said, "Many people do the same in films. They find the same type of character and they find that same, it's going to be that kind of a character. It is going to be that aggressive or it is going to be that romantic. They find that and they keep doing that over and over. It's challenging and I think both Ranbir and Ranveer have done that in their careers Which, you know, really has worked for them. It's been risky sometimes, extremely risky, where people have said that their career is over. But then, you know, because they have that faith in themselves, they bounce back. Ranbir bounced back with Animal and Ranveer has bounced back with Dhurandhar (sic)."
Naveen promised fans that the stakes would be significantly raised in the sequel, but he was cautious not to give away any secrets. He revealed, "The second part will blow people away," while speaking to us. Dhurandhar Part 2 is scheduled to be released on March 19, 2026. If Naveen Kaushik's remarks are any indication, viewers may anticipate a more ambitious, darker, and explosive follow-up.
Dhurandhar has broken numerous box office records, including the lifetime earnings of Stree 2 and Kantara: Chapter One, as the highest-grossing Indian movie of the year.
