Gaurav Khanna, the winner of Bigg Boss 19, recently addressed the controversy surrounding his remark about not receiving the Rs 50 lakh prize money from the reality show. Earlier, in his YouTube vlog, the actor had mentioned that he had not yet received the prize amount, which quickly sparked widespread discussion and speculation online. However, speaking to Times Now, Gaurav clarified that his statement had been misunderstood and urged people not to exaggerate the issue.
He explained that his comment was being 'blown out of proportion' and asked everyone to avoid hyping the matter unnecessarily, indicating that there was no major dispute over the prize money.
Gaurav Khanna said, "Actually, this is being blown out of proportion. It's from a vlog which was recorded nearly 40 days back, when I was travelling to my hometown in winters, but it got released some time back, so people thought it was a new recording. It isn't."

In his vlog, Gaurav Khanna had said that the Rs 50 lakh prize money from Bigg Boss 19 had not reached him yet but added that such payments take time and he is confident it will be received as part of the usual process. He said, "I think 1-2 mahiney toh lagte hain ye saari cheezein aanein mein because company ki apni internal audits hoti hain. Aa jayega, aisa nahi hain ki nahi aayega. Thoda delay hota hain, which is fine. TV ka banda hoon and TV mein thode delays hote hain. Aa jayega (It takes about 1-2 months for all the things to arrive because there are internal audits based on the company. I am from TV and there are delays here. It will come)."
