Thalapathy Vijay-Sangeetha Divorce News: Speculation around Thalapathy Vijay’s personal life has intensified after reports claimed that his son, Jason Sanjay, may have unfollowed him on Instagram amid the actor’s ongoing divorce proceedings with Sangeetha Sornalingam. While there is no official confirmation, the alleged social media move has triggered widespread discussion online, with many wondering if it signals tension within the family.
The buzz began when fans noticed that Jason does not appear to be following Vijay on Instagram. However, some social media users have pointed out that there is no clear proof that the father and son were following each other in the first place.
Meanwhile, the development comes shortly after reports emerged that Sangeetha filed for divorce at the Chengalpattu Family Court. According to circulating reports, the petition includes allegations that Vijay was involved in an extramarital relationship with an actress. The filing reportedly states that Sangeetha discovered the alleged relationship in April 2021, which caused her emotional distress and mental suffering. So far, neither Vijay nor Sangeetha has publicly addressed the claims.

Vijay and Sangeetha married on 25 August 1999 in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Chennai, despite coming from different religious backgrounds. Sangeetha, who is of Sri Lankan Tamil origin and was raised in the United Kingdom, first met Vijay in the mid-1990s. Their relationship gradually developed with the support of their families. The couple have two children, including Jason, who is now pursuing a career in filmmaking. Over the years, Vijay has largely kept his family life private, even after launching his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
