The Epstein Files have sparked global attention, with several high-profile names emerging from documents, photos and videos linked to the criminal activities of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Even Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has addressed the issue publicly, stating in a recent interview that he regrets any association he had with Epstein after his name surfaced.
Among the names doing the rounds in unverified documents is filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, referred to as a 'Bollywood guy' and a 'famous Bollywood director' allegedly linked to an Epstein-connected event planned in Beijing in 2017. However, Kashyap has categorically denied any involvement.
Speaking to HT City, the filmmaker dismissed the claims, saying he has no knowledge of such an event and has never visited Beijing. He also questioned the credibility of the documents, calling them random emails and adding that clickbait using his name seems to attract more attention than his films.
Kashyap said, "I’ve no clue about this. I get invitations as a speaker, about 15 a month. I rarely respond. Also, I have never been to Beijing in my life! It’s some random email, that’s self explanatory . The click baits in my name are more popular than my films."
