Actors Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor have shared that they are equally excited about watching Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film O’Romeo as they are about the release of their own survival thriller, Tu Yaa Main. Both films are slated to hit theatres on February 13, setting the stage for a box office clash. Speaking about O’Romeo, Adarsh said he has long admired Vishal Bhardwaj’s work and is eagerly awaiting the film. He also noted that it marks the director’s fourth collaboration with Shahid Kapoor, following their successful projects Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon.
While speaking to news agency PTI, Adarsh said, "A part of me is like, 'Oh s**t, we're coming out on the same day.' But there's also the greed of just getting to watch Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, which is very tangible for me. I've been a huge fan of Kaminey and Haider, and of Vishal Bhardwaj since his Makdee days. I'm very excited to see O'Romeo."
Shanaya, who made her debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan in 2025, echoed Adarsh’s sentiments, saying she really enjoyed the trailer of O’Romeo and is looking forward to watching the film. Shanaya said, "When the teaser and trailer dropped, we were like, 'Dude, this is insane. This is a kick-a** trailer.' Everyone is excited about it. It is an iconic pairing - Vishal sir and Shahid - and to see them finally back on screen is exciting."
She further added, "You want everyone to be back in theatres. You just want people to have a good time and watch good films. Both Tu Yaa Main and O'Romeo are different genres, and you can see that even from the teaser, trailer, and songs. I'm excited as an audience member that everyone is back in theatres and that it's a fun time."
Adarsh also expressed his excitement for his actor friend Avinash Tiwary, who essays the antagonist in O’Romeo. He said he is thrilled to see Avinash land such impactful roles, praising his strong screen presence, sharp one-liners in the trailer, and adding that he hopes both O’Romeo and Tu Yaa Main perform well at the box office.
