Omkara (2006) is not just another crime drama. Vishal Bhardwaj’s gritty adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello brought the crime and political underworld of Uttar Pradesh to life with striking realism.
With Omkara, Ajay Devgn once again showed why he was one of the industry’s finest actors, while Konkona Sen Sharma stayed true to her reputation for delivering strong performances. However, it was Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bipasha Basu, and Vivek Oberoi who surprised audiences by stepping out of their comfort zones and completely owning their characters.
But for me, Saif Ali Khan's Langda Tyagi remains one of Bollywood's most unforgettable villains. With a shaved head, stained teeth, a long painted fingernail and a mind driven by jealousy and revenge, he completely disappeared into the character.

About Omkara Movie
Did you know Omkara received three honours at the National Film Awards? The movie directed by Vishal Bhardwaj is a compelling tale that combines politics, crime, passion, and treachery.
Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Vivek Oberoi all gave outstanding performances in the film. It became one of the most renowned dramas in Hindi film after receiving praise from critics.
Interestingly, Vishal Bhardwaj moved the plot to the political climate of rural Uttar Pradesh rather than the original setting, giving the characters and conflicts a very Indian feel.
