The American model and television personality Heidi Klum dressed as a life-sized, manicured hand that had been cut off at the wrist. She unveiled the look on Saturday night at Cathédrale in New York, where she was attending a Halloween party. The costume quickly got people talking online.

Her legs formed two of the hand's fingers. The hand had red-painted fingernails and gold rings, and a gory gash sat at the wrist, right where Klum's face popped out.

Prosthetics were added to make the look even more frightening. Together, the bloody wrist, the rings, the fresh manicure and her head placed at the center of the hand completed the costume.

The reveal came after several days of cryptic clues from Klum, whose elaborate costumes have previously included a giant worm, a peacock and a snake-haired Medusa.

Before the party, Heidi Klum had told People that the costume would be 'very, very bloody' and would 'go very well with red wine'.

The 53 year old has hosted her Halloween bash since 2000, and over the years she has built a reputation for the standout looks she wears to her annual party in New York City.

Last year, the model, who is also a TV host and producer, arrived dressed as Medusa from Clash of the Titans. At earlier parties, she has transformed into a peacock, an alien and Princess Fiona from Shrek.

Her most famous costume, however, may be the one she wore in 2022, when she came as a worm and slithered around on the floor. Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, completed the pairing by dressing as a fisherman.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the time, Klum said she had felt 'claustrophobic' in that costume. "I was so claustrophobic in that costume," she admitted.

"It is one thing to add prosthetics to your body — but to be stuck inside the worm body and not really be able to use my arms or feet was not very comfortable," she added.
