Cocktail 2: The rumours about Cocktail 2 being a lesbian story with Shahid Kapoor as a third wheel have been circulating after fans spotted Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon's chemistry both on and off screen. The producers, as well as both actresses, have now made it clear that the movie does not centre around such a scenario, at the movie's trailer launch in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Is Cocktail 2 A Lesbian Love Story?
Cocktail 3 cast and makers denied the love story angle between Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. It's not a lesbian romance, according to producer Dinesh Vijan.
Rashmika Mandanna was asked about rumours linking her to Kriti Sanon in Cocktail 2. Responding to the speculation, the Mimi actress jokingly said that the rumours seemed to be coming from just one person. Looking at Shahid, she quipped, "I think the rumours are coming from one place only", and Rashmika appeared to agree with her.
Cocktail 2 director Homi Adajania said, "This is where the rumour came from. We were all sitting on the set. They definitely get a little cuddly with each other because they are friends. And we just hypothetically thought what if the story was about them and Shahid was the third wheel? And I said I wouldn’t mind making a movie like that."
The producer also stated that there are two love stories in the movie. "So guys, we were supposed to clear this up, so in the trailer there are two love stories. Purana love aur naya love, and ye Luv (Ranjan). Aur kuchh nahi hai kisi ka love nahi hai is picture mein".

What To Expect From Cocktail 2?
Kriti Sanon appeared to play Shahid Kapoor's friend who gradually started to fall in love with him, while Shahid and Rashmika's characters seemed to have a romantic connection. The trio's connection became a complex web of love, friendship, and heartbreak as a result of her developing affections, which added a new level of emotional difficulty.
The romantic comedy, directed by Homi Adajania, is a spiritual follow-up to the popular 2012 film Cocktail, starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty.
