Kalamkaval Box Office Collection Day 6: Mammootty has made a powerful return to cinemas with his latest crime thriller Kalamkaval. Released on December 5, the Malayalam movie has been receiving praise from both audiences and critics, especially for Mammootty’s intense and controlled performance as a cold-blooded serial killer. Directed by Jithin K Jose, the film has quickly emerged as a strong performer at the box office after opening to highly positive reviews.
In just six days, Kalamkaval has earned around Rs 24.30 crore in India, showing steady momentum throughout the week. According to Sacnilk, Kalamkaval collected Rs 2.10 crore on Wednesday. Worldwide, the film has crossed the Rs 60 crore mark, signalling a solid comeback for Mammootty after two of his recent releases: Dominic and the Ladies' Purse and Bazooka underperformed.

Mammootty in Kalamkaval, he takes on the role of Stanley Das, a dangerous man who targets women. The story unfolds through chapter-wise glimpses into Das’s life, revealing his methods and mindset. As the murders shake the region, SI Jayakrishnan, played by Vinayakan, begins to investigate. The deeper he goes, the bolder and more unpredictable Das becomes. The gripping cat-and-mouse chase, slow-burn tension, and unexpected twists keep the narrative compelling. Vinayakan’s performance as the determined police officer has also been appreciated, adding depth to the investigative portions of the film.
Meanwhile, along with Mammootty and Vinayakan, the cast includes Gibin Gopinath, Gayatri Arun, Rajisha Vijayan, Shruti Ramachandran, Azees Nedumangad, Kunchan, Biju Pappan and Malavika Menon. According to reports, Kalamkaval is expected to arrive on SonyLIV around New Year 2026, roughly four weeks after its theatrical release.
