Karuppu Movie Release Date: The excitement around Karuppu is growing rapidly as the tamil movie prepares to hit cinemas on 14th May 2026. Starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, this Tamil action-fantasy drama is one of the most talked-about movies of the year. Directed by RJ Balaji, it marks the long-awaited reunion of the two stars after nearly twenty years.

Karuppu Advance Booking

Trisha Krishnan and Suriya's Karuppu movie's advance booking opened on 10th May at 7 PM and the response was immediate. Within just a few hours, the Tamil movie earned Rs 1.61 crore in pre-sales across India and overseas. Tamil Nadu has proven to be the biggest market, with fans rushng to secure tickets for the first-day shows.

Karuppu Show Timings

In an interesting political turn, the makers of Karuppu have thanked the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C Joseph Vijay (popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay). The CM, who took his oath on 10th May, has granted special permission for the Tamil movie to start its first shows at 9 AM.

The production house, Dream Warrior Pictures, wrote on X, "Special thanks to our honorable Chief Minister Thiru. Joseph Vijay for granting the special permission for the 9AM shows of #Karuppu."

Karuppu Cast

Karuppu has officially received a U/A certificate, meaning it is suitable for most audiences. Along with the lead pair, the movie stars Yogi Babu, Indrans, and Swasika. The music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar. For Telugu-speaking fans, the film will be released under the title Veerabhadrudu.

Karuppu Plot

Karuppu is described as a mix of village folklore and social drama. Suriya plays Saravanan, a fearless lawyer fighting corruption. However, there is a supernatural twist in which the character appears to have divine powers connected to the village deity, Karuppusamy.

Karuppu trailer shows a world where corrupt lawyers exploit the poor, and Karuppusamy takes human form to protect the helpless. Trisha Krishnan also plays a strong role as a lawyer, while RJ Balaji  the main villain, Baby Kannan.
