Parasakthi Box Office Collection Day 2: Sivakarthikeyan’s latest Tamil film Parasakthi continues its steady run at the box office despite witnessing a dip in collections on its second day. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the period political drama has managed to cross the Rs 20 crore mark within just two days of its release, proving its strong pull among audiences. The film hit theatres on January 10 after facing multiple hurdles at the censor board. Despite mixed reviews from critics, Parasakthi has found decent acceptance, especially in Tamil Nadu, where its socio-political theme has struck a chord.

Parasakthi Day 2 Box Office Performance

Parasakthi opened its box office journey with an impressive Rs 12.5 crore on Day 1. On Day 2, the film earned an estimated Rs 10.15 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. With this, the film’s total net domestic collection now stands at Rs 22.65 crore. Although there was a noticeable dip compared to the opening day, the film’s weekend performance helped it comfortably cross the Rs 20 crore milestone. On Sunday, Parasakthi recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 51.06 per cent. Morning shows opened at 35.15 per cent occupancy, which steadily improved throughout the day. Afternoon shows saw 58.03 per cent occupancy, while evening shows peaked at 60.69 per cent. Night shows maintained a healthy 50.35 per cent footfall.

One of the key reasons behind Parasakthi’s strong hold at the box office is the absence of major competition. Thalapathy Vijay’s much-anticipated film Jana Nayagan was delayed due to an ongoing legal and censor-related dispute. This gave Parasakthi a clear theatrical window and access to more screens across Tamil Nadu and overseas markets. The unexpected delay allowed the film to attract holiday crowds and dominate weekend footfalls.
