South stars including Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Vijay Deverakonda, Ram Charan and Jr NTR praised Dhurandhar: The Revenge on social media platforms shortly after its release. Among other things, they commended the Aditya Dhar-directed project for its music, story, and performance. But now, Prakash Raj has taken a jib at them, implying that they had to post favourably about Dhurandhar 2.
"Dhurandhar 2 has been praised so far by Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Jr NTR, and Mahesh Babu. Any Bollywood star tweeted kya??" a person wrote on X. Replying this, Prakash Raj wrote, "Signs of Obligations are spreading South too .."
Prakash Raj, who is well-known for his vocal opinions on social and political matters, made these comments at a time when Dhurandhar 2 was increasingly being accused of being propaganda film.
Prakash Raj also posted a video of the song Abhi Na Jaao Chhod Kar and stated that he is far away from Dhurandhar 2. While discussing Jaidev's romantic song, he wrote on X, "Me Bahut door from Dhurandhar. Are you."

In case you weren't aware, top south stars like Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, and Vijay Deverakonda, among others heaped praises on Dhurandhar 2. They commended Ranveer Singh for his performance and Aditya Dhar for his vision as a director. Bollywood celebrities like Sidharth Malhotra, Kartik Aaryan, and Ananya Panday also hailed the sequel. In fact, director Madhur Bhandarkar stated that Ranveer Singh should win a national award for his performance.
Meanwhile, Actor Prakash Raj is not the only one dissatisfied with Dhurandhar 2. Ramya, a former politician and actress, is also discontented with the Ranveer Singh film. She wrote on X, "Just watched Dhurandhar 2 and wow! What a masterclass in how to turn something promising into an endurance test. It’s like reading a textbook of the most boring subject with never-ending chapters, and at some point, your brain just gives up and starts laughing out of sheer despair at the atrocity unfolding in front of you."
Ramya disclosed that she didn't like the film's directing, acting, background score, dialogue, portrayal of violence, and even editing.
