Deepika Padukone did not attend the biggest fashion night, the MET Gala 2026, which took place on Monday in New York. She made heads turn at the fashion gala three times in a row, from 2017 to 2019. Though she was recently spotted at the Mumbai Airport with her husband, Ranveer Singh, raising questions about her presence at the event, the soon-to-be mother didn't end up at the event due to work commitments.

Deepika Padukone is prioritising her film schedule with two significant projects in the works - King and Raaka, a source close to the actress informed India Today. "Her priority has always been and continues to be films. With King slated to release at the end of this year and Raaka scheduled to release next year, her priority at the moment is to complete the shoot for these two films."

Deepika Padukone fans shared an AI-generated picture of the pregnant actor, purportedly attending the pre-Gala dinner despite her absence. However, these are the actress's throwback appearances from 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Shah Rukh was even seen kindly assisting her in climbing the steps in one of the many leaked photos from the set. The actor also has a Telugu movie planned, which would release on Christmas this year. She has already completed an action scene for Atlee's Raaka, which she has been filming alongside Allu Arjun.
