Priyanka Chopra considered the emotional and professional obstacles she encountered in the industry before making the shift, she revealed in a recent interview with Jay Shetty. According to the actor, the film industry is often difficult and unpredictable.
Priyanka Chopra admitted that even though she was doing worthwhile work, there was a time when she felt constrained in her career. "Surviving in the movie industry is tough for everyone; it is not an easy place. It is political, networky, it is about the moment." She opened up about being at a point where things were not the best, "I did feel like I was in a place where I was cornered...work was limited...in order to survive emotionally... I just needed to move."

Priyanka Chopra realised then that staying in one industry could hinder her ability to advance and live a long life. She decided to move her base to Hollywood while keeping a presence in India in order to pursue emotional clarity and artistic growth. "By being in the studio with will.i.am, Pitbull... It was such a welcome change. It was a breath of fresh air. I was feeling like I was drowning, and I was suddenly pulled out, and I could breathe."

Priyanka Chopra is currently promoting her newly released movie, The Bluff, in which she co-stars with Karl Urban. It is currently streaming on Prime Video. She will also star in Varanasi, the next film directed by S. S. Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
