Chandramukhi
This 2005 horror comedy follows an NRI couple who move into their ancestral home despite repeated warnings. When strange things begin to happen, they call their psychiatrist friend, Dr Sravanan, for help.

Nayanthara plays Lily, the love interest of Aaditya Arunasalam (Rajinikanth), the commissioner of Mumbai Police.
After drug lord Hari Chopra (Suniel Shetty) kills several policemen and flees abroad, Aaditya and his daughter Valli (Nivetha Thomas) come to Mumbai to clean up the city. His mission leads to a direct clash with Hari, turning the story into a classic revenge drama.

Annaatthe
Kaalaiyan (Rajinikanth), known as Annaatthe, is a respected village president in Thanjavur. He raises his younger sister, Thanga Meenatchi (Keerthy Suresh), with deep affection.
Meenatchi studies in Kolkata, falls in love and elopes, which breaks her brother's heart. Her life soon turns dangerous when crime boss Manoj Parekar (Jagapathi Babu) destroys her husband's business, frames him and forces her to give up her assets.
When Kaalaiyan learns of her suffering, he secretly travels to Kolkata. With help from lawyer Pattammaal (Nayanthara), he systematically dismantles the crime syndicate.
