Yash’s Toxic: Rukmini Vasanth has officially joined the cast of Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The makers unveiled her first-look poster on Tuesday, introducing her character Mellisa. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, the big-budget action drama is slated for a grand theatrical release in 2026. The reveal has quickly caught fans’ attention, as Rukmini appears in a bold and glamorous avatar that marks a departure from her earlier girl-next-door roles.
In the first-look poster, Rukmini Vasanth is seen walking through what appears to be a smoky party setting from the late 1960s. Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups already boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Alongside Yash, the film stars Nayanthara as Ganga, Kiara Advani as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth and Tara Sutaria as Rebecca. With Rukmini Vasanth joining the project, the film’s narrative world continues to expand. Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Mohandas, Toxic is being filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English. Dubbed versions will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages. The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni and production designer TP Abid.
