Priya Kapur, who is the wife of the late industrialist Sanjay Kapur, is currently under an intense dispute over Sanjay's property and inheritance. After filing a case against his ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor, Priya has now filed a defamation case against his sister, Mandhira Kapur. Reacting to the same, Mandhira also came forward to explain her side of the story. Amid the nasty legal battle, Mandhira shared how everything 'belongs' to the family, which includes Priya's children. She further shared her bond with Karisma and her kids.

Mandhira Kapur recently shared her take on the defamation case filed by Sanjay Kapur's widow, Priya Kapur. In a conversation with HT City, she shared how speaking up in court is not defaming. She said, "All of what I said is mentioned in court. How am I defaming? Anything I have lied about, let me know, because I can guarantee I’ve lied about nothing."

Mandhira further revealed that she got to know about the defamation through social media and she is yet to receive a legal notice.

Sanjay Kapur's entire family, including his sister, Mandhira Kapur, mother, Rani, ex-wife, Karisma and her kids, is in a legal battle with Priya Kapur for the ownership of his massive estate, which allegedly costs approximately Rs 30,000 crore.

Mandhira further shared how their mother, Rani, has nothing written in her name after she and her father built everything from scratch. Talking about the owner of Sanjay's estate, she said, "The fact is, all this belongs to my mother, my sister, to me, our children, my brother’s children. No one was trying to cut Priya out, she is the one who has done all this. No one was going to cut out of her bit of the family inheritance, but you don’t take it all and walk away. My father and mother never planned to give it to one child. We are going to fight for what is my mother’s first while she is alive. Everything was meant to be on her name, and that’s what my dad wanted."

Mandhira also opened up about her bond with Karisma and her kids, Samaaira and Kiaan. She also shared that the family has suffered an irreplaceable loss. Mandhira also called out Priya's nasty games and said, "The kids have lost their best friend. My mother lost her son. It’s very tough. Everyone is going on about the money, but it’s also about my father’s legacy. The whole story that she is doing about my father, that he ran down the company to the ground and my brother brought it up... no, the company was doing really well. Should I put a defamation against her now? You want to play this game? We can keep playing it. I have got nothing to lose."

Priya Kapur Filed Defamation Case Against Mandhira Kapur

The legal battle over Sanjay Kapur’s inheritance took yet another dramatic turn after Priya asked for a certified copy of Karisma and Sanjay's divorce settlement on Friday. On Saturday, Priya filed a defamation case against Mandhira Kapur and another individual for attacking her on social media under 'false assertions and insinuations', which is causing serious harm to her reputation.
