King, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is still one of the most anticipated Hindi movies of 2026. In addition to Suhana Khan, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Arshad Warsi, and Jaideep Ahlawat, the film was directed by Siddarth Anand. The filming has been proceeding smoothly for the December theatrical release. However, the ongoing unrest in West Asia has disrupted the procedures, forcing the producers to postpone a significant action sequence shoot in Dubai that was supposed to take place in April.
King producers will reportedly be filming the aforementioned scene in a Mumbai studio, mimicking the desert landscape's color scheme. Anil Kapoor and Suhana are the main performers who will be filming the action scene. The makers have constructed a new set in a studio located in Vile Parle, Mumbai, due to the altered plans.

"The team had procured the necessary permissions to shoot in the emirate. It was supposed to be a week-long schedule from April 9. But given the dynamic situation in the region, the makers decided not to take any risk with the cast and crew’s safety," a source close to production told Mid-Day.
"They've gone all out to match the scale that Siddharth envisioned for the set-piece. In fact, this gives them more control over action beats and lighting. The sequence begins with a chase, resulting in an intense combat."

What We Know About King?
While the plot of King remains unknown, Shah Rukh Khan talked about the film at the Locarno Film Festival. "It is an action drama; it’s a Hindi film. It’ll be interesting. I’ve been wanting to do a film like that for some time, and I really wanted to do a film like this for seven, eight years. We just felt Sujoy would be the right choice because we wanted it to be very emotionally correct. We are all coming together to make a cool, massy, action, emotional film."
King, which was first directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth's second joint film following the 2023 hit Pathaan. The movie's title was formally announced on superstar's birthday in November.
