Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 61st birthday on November 2 by greeting fans gathered outside his Mumbai home, Mannat. However, unlike previous years, the superstar did not make his traditional midnight balcony appearance. After keeping fans waiting for most of the day, he finally stepped out in the evening and gave them the birthday moment they had been hoping for.
Dressed in a white T-shirt and blue jeans, Shah Rukh waved at the crowd, blew kisses and struck his iconic arms-outstretched pose. Fans cheered as cameras captured his appearance outside the sea-facing bungalow.
Why Did Shah Rukh Khan Skip His Midnight Birthday Ritual At Mannat?
This year, Shah Rukh's birthday celebrations were different because Mannat is undergoing renovation work. The actor and his family have reportedly moved out temporarily while the work continues.
Instead of appearing on the balcony at midnight, the superstar greeted fans through a special projection outside his residence. It featured a handwritten message from him, which read, "Thank you all for your wishes and love. Sending mine right back to you all. Lots of love and a big hug."
The display also featured visuals and dialogues from his upcoming film King, including "King Akela Kaafi Hai" and "Darr Nahi, Dehshat Hoon".
