As per a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, a letter was sent last week to producer Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and director Vishal Bhardwaj by Hussain Ustara’s daughter, questioning the portrayal of her father in the movie.
"The letter has been addressed to producer Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and director Vishal Bhardwaj last week. It claims that O Romeo probably shows Hussain Ustara in a bad light, thereby impacting the family’s reputation. Hence, she has asked for Rs. 2 crores for the same. Along with the monetary demand, Sanober has also reportedly requested the makers to halt or cancel the film’s release until her concerns are addressed to her satisfaction," a source said.
Is Shahid Kapoor's O' Romeo Inspired By Hussain Ustra's Life?
Hussain Ustara was a Mumbai gangster, known for his rivalry with Dawood Ibrahim. Reports suggesting that the film is based on Ustara's life surfaced after the teaser carried a disclaimer, stating that the film is inspired by true events and allegedly revolves around Ustara and Sapna Didi’s revenge story.
