Batman fans were quick to react to the release date announcement. While many expressed excitement about the first look at Robert Pattinson as The Batman, others were annoyed by the delayed release date.
A user wrote, "Why delay it, Mr Matt Reeves?" Another user said, "This movie should've dropped in 2025/2026. Six years for a sequel is bullshit." A third wrote, "We went from 2026, to late 2027, now to February 2028. Six years between movies hurts!"
One of the many users said, "Alright fine. I can wait a couple more months for this masterpiece. That new Batman theme though."
What To Expect From The Batman 2?
Robert Pattinson is expected to don an updated suit for the follow-up, according to a May report. The original suit was left at Warner Bros Studios, confirming a new look, even if his vintage Batmobile was removed for filming.
The biggest change in Batman’s new look is the addition of a chin guard, which was missing in the first film. The rest of the costume is difficult to make out because of the dark lighting and shadows. For now, no other major changes to the suit can be clearly spotted.
