Thalapathy Vijay's political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagame (TVK), won 108 seats, demonstrating his utter supremacy in the most recent Tamil Nadu elections. Now, TVK leaders are eager for Trisha Krishnan to join the party and run in the by-elections from the Tiruchirappalli East constituency in Tamil Nadu, according to a recent News24 report.
Thalapathy Vijay won two seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections - Tiruchirappalli East and Perambur in Chennai. According to the electoral rules, he is not allowed to hold both seats. As a result, he has 14 days to leave one. A bypoll election will then be announced after he vacates it.
Thalapathy Vijay and his party supporters are eager for him to keep Perambur because of the constituency's proximity to the state secretariat and his nearly twofold victory margin there. The Jana Nayagan actor is therefore probably going to step down from the Tiruchirappalli East seat.
As a result, Vijay and TVK leaders are trying to get Trisha Krishnan to run for this position. However, the actor is not very interested in entering politics because she has no experience in the area.

Vijay Wins Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections
The response to Thalapathy Vijay's political debut has been exceptional. With 108 seats in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly, his party has become the single largest party. It is still 10 seats shy of the 118 majority threshold, though. This means that TVK must establish an alliance to create a government. TVK may ally with the DMK, which got 59 seats, or with the AIADMK, which won 47 seats, according to some reports.
Vijay is expected to take the oath of office as Tamil Nadu's next chief minister on May 7. But as of right moment, there is no formal confirmation on this.
