During a group conversation, Shiny Doshi, Ridhima Pandit, Monalisa and Rajat Dalal discussed the massive popularity of Faisu. Shiny remembered watching a video of him stepping out of a car while lakhs of fans cheered for him. She asked him the reason behind his massive popularity.
Faisu said that he initially began making short videos on Dubsmash. While other people were making 15-second videos, he and his team were making videos that were one minute long, and they posted them on Facebook. They later posted a music video on YouTube that got 45 million views in six months.
Faisu Created 7500 Videos On TikTok
According to Faisu, he worked very hard and created about 7,500 videos. He rose to fame and was once the third most followed person worldwide on TikTok and the top creator in India. His videos crossed one billion likes.
However, his account was banned even before TikTok's formal suspension in India. He thought he had lost everything when the platform shut down. Nevertheless, he was able to transfer his 20–22 million Instagram followers to YouTube.
How Faisu Recovered After the TikTok Ban in India?
Faisu also revealed that the company he joined was very supportive of him in times of need. The CEO of the agency believed in him and worked on his development. He went to grooming classes where he was taught to talk, act, and carry himself in a better manner. He said that this helped him become a better person and move ahead in his social media popularity.
