Amitabh Bachchan has dominated the screen as one of the biggest stars in Hindi cinema since the 90s. The superstar, who has starred in over 200 movies, has accumulated a substantial fortune as a superstar. The Hurun India Rich List 2024 lists him as one of the richest celebrities in India, with a staggering net worth of almost Rs 1600 crore.
Amitabh Bachchan has two children - Abhishek Bachchan, who is younger, and Shweta Bachchan, who is older. The veteran star disclosed who of his children would receive his fortune in an interview in 2011.
Amitabh Bachchan said, "When I die, whatever little I have will be equally divided between my daughter and my son — there is no differentiation. Jaya and I decided on that a long time ago. Everybody says that the girl is paraya dhan, she goes to her husband's house, but in my eyes, she is our daughter; she has the same rights Abhishek has."

Amitabh Bachchan also talked about his relationship with his son, Abhishek Bachchan, in the same interview. He revealed that he sees his son as his friend.
"I had decided long before Abhishek was born that if I had a son, he would be my friend rather than just my son. And the day he started wearing my shoes, he became my friend. So now, I treat him as a friend. I very rarely look upon him as a son. I am concerned about him as a father, I look after him as a father, and I advise him as a father, but when we talk, we talk as friends, " the Piku actor revealed.
