Dhurandhar 2 followed the journey of Jaskirat Singh Rangi (Ranveer Singh), who went by the identity Hamza Ali Mazari in Pakistan, building on the events of the first part. As he ascended to dominance in Lyari, Hamza navigated the dangerous underbelly of Karachi after killing Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna). As he battled strong opponents like Bade Sahab and ISI agent Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal), who directly jeopardised India's national security, his job became more intense as he attempted to destroy terror networks from within.
Jaskirat's origin story was also examined in the movie. Ajay Sanyal (R Madhavan), the head of the Intelligence Bureau, recruited him and turned him into an undercover agent. He was then deployed deep undercover to penetrate Karachi's criminal underworld as part of a clandestine operation.
