The star got discharged today and several videos surfaced online which showcased CCTV installation at his home. Saif had to undergo two surgeries after an intruder, who had the intention of robbing his house, attacked him while the former was shielding his family on January 16. He was then admitted to Lilavati Hospital where he received his treatment. The investigation is currently on and has been handled by Mumbai Police.

The attacker has been caught by the police. The accused was also taken to Saif’s home earlier today in the morning to recreate the crime scene. The attacker has been identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, a Bangladeshi national, alleged by Mumbai Police. The accused has been staying in this country for the past 5 months after changing his name to Vijay Das. He was surviving by doing some ‘odd jobs’ and was associated with a housekeeping agency. The police official said in a statement, “He called his brother and asked him to send his school living certificate. His brother sent it (the certificate) on Fakir's mobile phone. This document is strong evidence to prove he is a Bangladeshi national.” It was also said that the attacker hid in Saif’s garden for hours after stabbing him. Police added, “He was afraid of getting caught.” The Mumbai Police also took the fingerprints from Saif’s home to secure their evidence.
