Sidhu Moosewala's parents welcomed a baby boy on Sunday almost two years after the demise of the Punjabi singer. His father, Balkaur Singh, announced the news on Instagram and shared the first glimpse of his newborn son. The 'So High' singer was the only child of Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur.

Sharing the picture, Balkaur Singh, 60, wrote in the caption, "With the blessings of millions of souls who love Shubdeep, the Almighty has put Shubh's younger brother in our lap. With the blessings of Waheguru, the family is healthy and I'm thankful to all the well-wishers for their immense love (folded hands emoji)."

Earlier, Balkaur Singh addressed the rumours about Charan Kaur's pregnancy in a Facebook post. He wrote, "We are thankful to Sidhu's fans who are concerned about our family. But we plead there are so many rumours going around about the family, they are not to be believed. Whatever news, the family will share with you all."

According to reports, Charan Kaur, 58, underwent In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment to conceive the baby.

On May 29, 2022, Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by assailants in Jawaharke village of Punjab's Mansa district. The incident happened a day after Punjab Police withdrew his security along with 424 others. He had also joined the Congress party ahead of the Assembly elections in December 2021.

Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar had claimed responsibility for Moosewala's murder in a Facebook post. He is a close aide of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also the main suspect in Sidhu Mooewala's murder.

Two killers of Moosewala were gunned down on July 20, 2022, after a heavy exchange of fire with Punjab Police near Amritsar. The killed gangsters were identified as Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh and an AK47 and pistol were also recovered after the encounter.
