One of the most highly-anticipated films of the year 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' was released in theaters today where fans were delighted to see the thrilling animated storyline of one of the oldest Marvel characters.
The filmmakers of the franchise are however set to immerse in a multitude of other projects where the fans are now waiting for the next installment of the trilogy, titled 'Beyond the Spider-Verse' which is scheduled to release in 2024.
Now, the exciting news emerges that a fourth sequel of Spider-Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is also in the making featuring Tom Holland and Zendaya. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the makers of the film have confirmed the entry of the couple where producer Amy Pascal said, "Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are."
This is one of the biggest clues given for the first time as 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' did a good run at the box office. The writer's strike is causing the production delay of the film, where the producer did not provide any expected release date but stated that the production has been suspended because of the writer's strike.
She said, "We're in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We're all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we'll get started."
The writer's strike began on May 2 when the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed to reach an agreement after six weeks of negotiations. Thus, the writers have stopped working to seek fair pay and better working conditions.
This situation has caused a delay in the production of numerous film scripts where the development in the script cannot be done until the strike is over and the writers can come to a certain conclusion. 'Deadpool 3' starring Ryan Reynolds is also facing a similar issue.
There are future projects also associated with the Spider-Man universe, where 'Spider-Woman' is all set to make its mark, and 'Kraven The Hunter' film is also in the pipeline.
Amy Pascal also teased that a 'Spider-Woman' and live-action Miles Morales film is in the making where the film will be released sooner than one might expect. Sony Entertainment is also planning a 'Kraven The Hunter' film starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson for later this year, as well as a 'Madame Web' film starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney for an early 2024 release.
