A major road accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Thursday morning due to dense fog. A Delhi-bound bus collided with a truck moving ahead of it near Nangla Gujar village on the DME route, under the jurisdiction of the Firozpur Jhirka police station. In this tragic accident, two bus passengers died on the spot, while five others were seriously injured.
The deceased have been identified as Mohar Singh, a resident of Dhigariya, Laxmangarh district (Rajasthan), and Bhawani Singh, a resident of Kheda, Laxmangarh (Rajasthan). All the injured are also reported to be residents of Rajasthan.

According to eyewitnesses, the fog was so thick in the morning that visibility was extremely low. Consequently, the bus driver failed to gauge the distance of the truck ahead, resulting in a violent rear-end collision. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely wrecked.
Upon receiving the information, the police and ambulance reached the scene. The bodies of the deceased were sent to the district hospital, while the injured have been admitted for medical treatment. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest that dense fog and poor visibility were the primary causes of the mishap.
