The name of 36-year-old Kuldeep alias Kalu, a resident of Ward 5 in Safidon city, has surfaced in connection with a conspiracy to carry out a bomb blast in the national capital, Delhi, on January 26.
Detention And Allegations
A police team from Ludhiana, Punjab, arrived on Monday evening and detained Kuldeep from his residence in Haryana. He is suspected of being in contact with Khalistani elements. Reports indicate that he used to display phone numbers of Khalistanis as his Display Picture (DP) on his Facebook ID. Kuldeep is accused of conspiring with Khalistan supporters to execute a terror attack in Delhi on Republic Day. The police have already arrested several other individuals from Ludhiana in connection with this case.
Criminal Background:10 Months In US Jail
Kuldeep's name surfaced during the interrogation of other suspects, which led to his detention. In 2019, Kuldeep had traveled to the United States via the illegal "donkey" route. He was arrested by American police at that time and spent 10 months in prison. After his release in 2020, he was deported back to India. Additionally, a case related to an accident was registered against Kuldeep in Safidon in 2016.

Delhi Police Releases 'Most Wanted' Posters
The Delhi Police has put up posters featuring 10 terrorists at various locations across the capital, and Kuldeep alias Kalu is included in this list. The names featured on the posters include Harvinder alias Randha, Kulwant, Kuldeep alias Kalu, Avtar Singh, Karanvir, Harshdeep alias Harsh, Bhupendra alias Bhindra, Purushottam alias Pamma, Wadhwa Singh alias Babbar, and Gurmeet. All these individuals are currently on the Delhi Police's 'Most Wanted' list.
