Delhi News: In preparation for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections in 2025, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is ramping up its efforts by organising a Mahila Adalat on December 16. This initiative aims to address the worsening law and order situation in the capital, particularly concerning women's safety. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal will be joined by former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at the event.
The Mahila Adalat will focus on the alarming rise in crimes against women and the overall deterioration of law enforcement in the city. In an open letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Kejriwal mentioned the escalating crime rates, stating, “Crimes against women are increasing rapidly in Delhi, while extortion gangs and gangsters operate freely on the streets.”
Kejriwal cited disturbing crime statistics, noting that in the past six months, there have been bomb threats targeting over 300 schools and colleges, as well as more than 100 hospitals, malls and airports in Delhi. He expressed deep concern for the emotional toll these threats take on children and their families during school evacuations.

In a bid to strengthen its position, the AAP has announced candidates for all 70 Assembly seats and intensified its attacks on the BJP. Upon releasing the candidate list, Kejriwal remarked, “The BJP is missing. They lack a chief ministerial face, a team, planning and vision for Delhi. Their only mission seems to be ‘Remove Kejriwal.’”
