Ambala-Shamli Expressway News: In a major update for the commuters, the construction of the Ambala–Shamli Expressway is reportedly set to be completed by the end of 2026. Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has stated that the work on the project is moving at a brisk pace and is likely to be completed before the deadline. The minister asserted that the expressway will boost the connectivity and provide convenience to the commuters by cutting the travel time and reducing traffic congestion. The expressway will be extended to Delhi, where it will be connected with the Dehradun–Delhi Expressway to connect all the key cities.
While providing details, the minister stated that the construction of the 121-kilometer project is set to be completed before the deadline, reported The Tribune. Apart from this, Vij also reviewed the works on the Ambala–Mohali Expressway and assured that the project will be completed soon. He asserted that the expressway will provide convenience to thousands of commuters from several cities, including Chandigarh, Mohali, Ambala, and other cities.

Along with boosting the regional connectivity, these projects are also likely to improve the financial activities and generate job opportunities. The Ambala–Shamli Expressway will later be connected with the Dehradun–Delhi Expressway to connect all the key cities around the national capital. Apart from this, Vij has also directed the NHAI officials to complete the work of Ambala Ring Road, adding that it will allow the commuters of the other states to bypass the city.
He asserted that the ring road will cut the travel time and reduce traffic congestion in the key regions of the city. The minister also assured that several projects will be announced in the upcoming months to improve the connectivity and connect the cities of Haryana to other states.
