In another setback for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga levelled serious charges against AAP Minister Balkar Singh and accused the latter of forcing a young woman to strip and engage in inappropriate activities on a video call. Tajinder Bagga, who made the shocking allegation through a post on X, also demanded immediate action in the matter from AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.

It is alleged that a 21-year-old woman, who approached Balkar for jobs, was forced to make video calls to Balkar and engage in inappropriate activities. A video of Balkar is also being shared on social media, purportedly showing him semi-naked.

The controversy comes at the same time when AAP is already facing flak over the Delhi Excise Policy case and assault charges by Swati Maliwal against Kejriwal's close aide, Bibhav Kumar.

Meanwhile, BJP National Secretary Majinder Singh Sirsa also reacted sharply to the incident and wrote on X, "Another day, another vulgar action of the AAP minister exposed in public!" "It’s totally unacceptable that the land of Gurus and Pirs is run by people who have no character or integrity. Would CM  @BhagwantMann Ji protect Balkar Singh as well just like he shielded Lal Chand Kataruchak, despite their sex tapes being made public???," he added.

The National Commission for Women also took cognisance of the incident and said,"the reported acts, if substantiated, constitute serious violations under IPC sections 354 and 354B, directly affronting a woman's dignity."

Notably, this comes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections that are due in Punjab. Punjab's 13 seats will be voting on June 1 in the seventh phase of the general elections. The counting will be held on June 4

The incident has landed AAP, which is already facing drawbacks due to Swati Maliwal's case, in another controversy.
