The Indian Army, ahead of the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, shared its strong and clear stand on terrorism. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the army asserted that whole India is united against the terrorism, adding that boundaries should never be crossed. Earlier in 2025, following the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 tourists were killed, the Indian Air Force destroyed several terror sites in Pakistan. The planners ensured maximum damage to the terror organisations in Pakistan while avoiding civilian harm.

In its post, the Army also shared an image of the Operation Sindoor logo with the message, "Some boundaries should never be crossed." "When boundaries of humanity are crossed, the response is decisive. Justice is served. India stands united," it stated in the post. The operation was launched after tourists were killed by the terrorists in the Pahalgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

In its retaliation, the Indian Air Force destroyed several terror camps in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and several other regions of the neighbouring nation. It carried out attacks on several key targets, including the Nur Khan Air Base and the Rahimyar Khan Air Base. While Islamabad tried to retaliate by targeting the Indian cities, the drones were intercepted and destroyed by the defence system.

Earlier, on April 1, the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, revealed that the Navy was just minutes away from hitting Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. While speaking at the Naval Investiture Ceremony, he asserted that the Navy was prepared to strike when Islamabad sought a halt to the kinetic actions.

"It is not a hidden fact anymore that we were just minutes away from striking Pakistan from the sea when they requested the stoppage of kinetic actions," Admiral Tripathi was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI. Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations reached out to his Indian counterpart on May 10, leading to a ceasefire.
