Bengaluru News: The Karnataka government has released a fresh reorganisation of Bengaluru’s city structure, splitting it into five separate municipal corporations. This updated categorisation, announced earlier in July, has redefined boundaries of several assembly constituencies and shifted some well-known localities into different zones.

According to a Deccan Herald report, as part of the changes, Basavanagudi known for the iconic Bull Temple has been moved under the Bengaluru West Corporation. Meanwhile, Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar), a well-known western suburb, is now included in Bengaluru South Corporation. These changes are part of the state’s plan to break up the existing Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and improve city governance through decentralisation.
