IPL 2026 Final: With Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set to play the Tata IPL 2026 final today, the Bengaluru city police have issued an advisory, urging the public to avoid bursting crackers, holding road celebrations, creating disturbances or engaging in fights after the match.
The police stated that special precautionary measures have been deployed across the city to prevent untoward incidents, traffic congestion, and law-and-order issues. This advisory comes in the backdrop of a tragic stampede near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in June 2025 after RCB's IPL title win, which left 11 people dead and several injured, news agency PTI reported.
Key Guidelines For Post-IPL 2026 Final Celebrations In Bengaluru
- According to the advisory, the public is strictly prohibited from holding celebrations in public places after the announcement of the final result.
- Authorities have barred the installation of LED screens facing roads without prior permission from relevant departments.
- Additionally, live match screenings must not be arranged outside malls, pubs, or other establishments in a manner that makes them visible to the public.
- The advisory prohibits the bursting of crackers and the use of dangerous materials during celebrations.
- Citizens are urged to maintain peace in crowded areas and follow instructions and guidance issued by traffic officials.
